The STEM Strand is for SHS students who are inclined toward or have the aptitude for Math or Science or Engineering studies.Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are intertwining disciplines when applied in the real world. The difference of the STEM curriculum with the other strands and tracks is the focus on advanced concepts and topics. Under the track, you can become a pilot, an architect, an astrophysicist, a biologist, a chemist, an engineer, a dentist, a nutritionist, a nurse, a doctor, and a lot more.

EDUCATION

APPLIED APPROACH

This approach emphasizes the application of knowledge. A student who can complete a math sheet on subtracting money should also be able to make change in the store. Of course not all information is so readily applied to life. This is overcome by actually doing the things taught or by finding a context in the students’s life for the new information. The age, development and “readiness” of the student is always kept in mind.

It is believed that a student will better learn a new concept if he or she is walked through it and then allowed to apply it. The teacher’s role is very important because the teaching parent knows the student better than anyone else. This approach gives the teacher the power to discern where the students need help and how to give it to them.

BENEFIT

THE GOAL

The goal of STEM introduction is to awaken students interests in these fields by early exploration and creative learning experiences. Learning by fun and by doing! And growing enthusiasm and love for STEM and STEM- related fields by endangering success.

STEM education is a promising opportunity for everyone who wants a better future for their children. The best thing a parent can do is encourage their child to embrace STEM and love it. The best thing a student can do is to ensure that STEM is part of their continuing education.

The real me

“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”

-Mae West-

Hi i’m Alliah Merylle Cloma Bernaldez, born on April 4, 2003, i’m 16 years of age turning 17 this year. I live in Tapayas Balatan Camarines Sur. My parents are Rosano Tangilon Bernaldez and Asteria Cloma Bernaldez. I have a sister her name is Soffia Jane Cloma Bernaldez. My father is working as an OFW in Dubai and my mother is a simple housewife that is taking care of us. When i was i kid i used to go outside playing all the “larong pinoy”, and that childhood days are things that i can be proud of coz kids nowadays are only focused on their gadgets.

As time goes by I feel like I am losing my self esteem and i cant really avoid that. Everytime i see other girls i say “uyy ang ganda naman niya” “sana ol talented” that kind of stuffs. But then I have this friends that always support me and by them i’m contented of what i am. For those people who are comparing their selves, don’t be because God created you as his masterpiece and all of his masterpiece are beautiful therefore you are beautiful.

“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.”– Maya Angelou

As i grow Life has been uneasy but I am trying to be strong. So far I’ve been on my journey with the people I value the most. But the real battle started when I stepped into highschool life, experiencing new things like going to new school, having a new friend, and adjusting to new environment. More and more challenges came into my life. I was forced to hide what I truly want. But even these challenges try to break me, I know it wouldn’t stop me because I have my family and my friends to support me for the rest of my life.As long as I can, no one can cut me down.

The real reason that I’m fighting until now is because of the people that are counting on me. The people that I can’t let down. I know it won’t be easy but I know I can do it, i can do it so i will do it.

I chose the song Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson because it talks about not giving up on your dreams even everything seems so dark. It tells us to be smart and brave. Reaching up dreams and doing what our hearts want may not be easy but when you achieve it, it gonna be worth it.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
